Lovelies we are back to talk about the contribution jump roping have on weight loss. Exercising is not my cup of tea nor for the weak, its crucial for no reason. I be in pain throughout the whole entire process, that's why I went on a hiatus. At one point I thought going to the gym would be for me like it was for the fit girls. I had a gym membership for five whole months, I let that gym take money out of my account all those times only to go there three times. I was sick to my stomach.

I don't know how I got interested in using a jump rope as a form of exercise but girl I am there. There are so many benefits when it comes to jump roping that I can't believe it's not part of most people exercising routine (other than boxers).
  1.  Affordable
  2. You burn more calories then you do jogging
  3.  It tones your body
  4.  Improves what little coordination you may have
  5.  Helps with breathing efficiency
  6.  Improves your horrible posture (you know deep down your posture is terrible)
  7.  Assist with heart health
  8.  Aids in the development of your brain
  9. It is said that it can help with injuries and reduces the risk
I could say that it is a fun little exercise but I'll leave the excitement for the kids. I am currently on an on-again-off-again relationship with jump roping. I started skipping on September 13, 2020, and October 16, 2020, marked my 20th-day mark. The first three days my calves and ankle hurt so bad. Over time your body will adjust and the pain will fade. If it wasn't for the fact that I'm going on vacation soon I would've stopped and started preaching body positivity to myself. Throughout this ordeal I didn't change my eating habits, I did however incorporate yoga and stretch videos into it. I believe I lost 4 inches off my stomach as of then. So let's get into it.

For the first few weeks, I skipped 600 times without recording the time. Now, on a good day, I can do 1000 skips in 24 minutes. If y'all think that shit sounds easy it is not. I was sweating so bad I thought it was raining for a minute. Now, do not weigh yourself because the scale is not your friend! jump roping helps with building muscles so your weight may not move but your inches do. I suggest you record your inches and take pictures because you will see and feel the difference. Don’t expect to see results immediately if your not consistent or putting much effort. And definitely remember that everybody's body is not the same so don’t be too hard on yourself if you not seeing the change you saw in someone else. Everyone's journey and path are different so take your time. Below I will link some youtube videos for inspiration as well as the yoga and stretches I part take in. Lovelies don’t forget to stretch before and after skipping okay.
